1. Climb the Vršac Tower
The town's symbol is a 15th-century fortress tower perched on a hill above Vršac. Walk or drive up for a close look at the medieval stonework and a panorama that stretches across the Banat plain all the way to Romania.
2. Hike the Vršac Mountains
Vršac sits below Vojvodina's only mountain range, topped by Gudurički vrh — at 641 metres, the highest point in the province. Wooded trails, picnic spots and a hang-gliding launch make it the region's go-to for fresh air and big views.
3. The Cathedral of St. Gerhard
This neo-Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral, with its soaring twin spires, is one of the tallest churches in Serbia and dominates the skyline. Its red-brick facade and stained glass are worth the trip on their own.
4. St. Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral
Vršac's principal Orthodox church anchors the old centre with handsome lines and a richly painted interior — a calmer, more intimate counterpoint to the towering St. Gerhard nearby.
5. Wander the Old Town
Vršac's centre is a graceful spread of pedestrian streets, café terraces and a well-kept town museum that traces the area's wine-trading heyday. It is the kind of place best enjoyed slowly, on foot.

6. Taste the Wine
Vršac wine comes from one of Serbia's oldest and largest wine regions, its slopes carpeted with vineyards. Local cellars pour crisp whites and easy reds — book a tasting and you'll see why wine has defined this town for generations.
7. Visit Mesić Monastery
A short drive into the foothills, this 15th-century Orthodox monastery sits in peaceful greenery — a serene stop with frescoes, a quiet courtyard and a real sense of the region's spiritual history.
8. Concordia & Belle-Époque Vršac
The town's wine wealth left it unusually elegant for its size. The landmark Concordia building and the streets around it are full of baroque and secession facades, wrought-iron balconies and grand townhouses — proof of a richer, golden-age past.

Just Down the Road: a Guided Quad Adventure in Bela Crkva
Vršac pairs perfectly with a shot of adventure. Around 30 minutes south, in the lake town of Bela Crkva, Mad Max Quads runs fully guided quad tours across crystal lakes, rivers, sand and hills. All the gear is included and no experience is needed, so it works for couples, friends and families. Spend the morning in Vršac's old town and the afternoon tearing along the trails — it is the easiest way to turn a town visit into a weekend to remember. (Our tours run in Bela Crkva, the next town over.)
